Three Lives, written, directed and performed by Alex Luu Lighting designed by Gary San Angel A solo performance piece that tells the story of the artist's harrowing escape from war torn Saigon in 1975 as a refugee. Spanning three generations, the show presents four characters from the same family. It is through the eyes, emotions and experiences of these characters that we experience first hand the comical yet painful phases of "assimilation" as well as redemption in a new land where traditional culture and individuality collide. Three lives celebrated the simple yet enduring magic of finding one's true voice, admit the horrors of war and the richness of family past and present.
